The 3rd Greater China Area Finance Conference

We are pleased to announce the 3rd Greater China Area Finance conference (GCFC2020) organized by School of Economics (SOE), the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE), and Gregory and Paula Chow Center for Economic Research (GCCER), Xiamen University, and School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Science, China. We invite submissions from all areas related to finance, including but not limited to asset pricing, corporate finance, behavioral finance, banking, international finance, and financial econometrics. Empirical research on or theoretical work with empirical applications to financial risk, innovation, stability and regulation in greater China area is particularly welcome.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Researchers interested in participating should submit their papers through our online portal athttps://wise.xmu.edu.cn/Meetings/GCFC2020/Registration/.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the conference is postponed toDecember 12-13, 2020 and is likely to be held online. The extended submission deadline is October 20, 2020. Decisions of acceptance will be announced by October 31, 2020.

In addition, this year’s conference offers a dual submission option with the Journal of Empirical Finance (English language papers). Authors must indicate when submitting papers whether they are interested in having their papers considered under the dual submission option. Dual submission papers will be made available for consideration by the JEF editor. At the discretion of the editor, dual submission papers will be sent out for a formal review, in which case the authors will receive copies of the referee reports. If invited, authors have until three months after the conference to submit their papers to the JEF.
